Skofteland film is proud to announce that the quiet, but powerful documentary ”Harvesting The Wasteland” is proclaimed “The Norwegian Documentary of the Year” by the NRK.

The film is about the mother in law Guri and the daughter in law Marit, who have been living under the same roof for more than 30 years, in a place where there is really only room for one of them. It was aired for the first time on Women’s Day, March 8. 2008, and the number of viewers were amazingly high: 723 000. with the reruns more than a million people have now seen this documentary.
NRK – Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation is airing the film again during the Christmas Hollidays, on December 25. at 12:45, on NRK 1.
The film was earlier this year nominated to the Norwegian Film Award “Amanda”, it took Second prize in The Short Film Festival in Grimstad, and won First Prize at the international Documentary Film Festival in Volda.
