Premiere «Et lite stykke Thailand» (Thaifjord )
On Thursday, January 10th at 9:20 p.m, Thaifjord premieres on TVNORGE. In Vestnes, a big party will take place at Myra Kulturhus, with local politicians, media and the series particpants all on hand.

The main Director of the series,Tale Kristine Skeidsvoll: In the series we get to know five Thai-Norwegian couples living in villages in the west of Norway. Over the course of a year, the couples have opened their homes and allowed us to film the challenges, both big and small, that they face in their lives. My hope is that the series will challenge the persistent myths surrounding who these «Thai ladies» and their husbands actually are. The media often serves up tragic stories about these marriages, stories about helpless female victims and abusive men. The Thai women need and deserve a public voice in Norway that can begin to tell us who they are. Thaifjord is an attempt to give them and their husbands a chance to come forward with the stories of their lives.
This is the first time in TVNORGE’s history that it will broadcast a documentary series supported by the Norwegian Film Fund. Thaifjord is also Skofteland Film’s first production for television.
